As a concenquence of this directive our concert planned for this coming Friday has been canceled.


In related news, after hearing of this injustice we have been contacted by La Tavern du Perron in Stembert and graciously offered an opportunity to present our music before their appreciative and enthusiastic public. We hope many of you will join us.

Conformément à cette directive, notre concert prévu pour vendredi prochain est annulé.


Par la suite, après avoir appris de cette injustice, nous avons été contactés par La Tavern du Perron à Stembert qui nous a gracieusement offert la possibilité de présenter notre musique devant leur public enthousiaste. Nous espérons que beaucoup d’entre vous nous joindront.

Si jamais vous rencontriez un tableau représentant un hot rod garé devant le même maison où se déroule la vente, n'achetez pas ce tableau !!! Encore une fois, ne l'achetez pas !!! J'ai lu une histoire de Stephen King concernant ce tableau il y a quelques années. Ça ne peut donner rien de bon !!!

And again, they go on and on regarding the importance of regular blog updates. Writing regular updates is not something I’ve ever been accused of !! But OK, why not give it a try. Who knows ? Without any pre-preconceived notions, perhaps my writing will improve !! Or at the very least it gives us an excuse to share some of Martina’s fine photographs right ?


I’ll begin by reminding everyone of our big big weekend coming up. Alexandre will be performing with his other band, DiAlDa, Friday night in Liège on the Legia. It’s a battle of the bands sort of thing with each group playing 20 minutes. Tickets are 8€ and are available at the door. Vote ALEX !!


Saturday night we go back to Mazy and boy it’s gonna be fun !! We’re expecting a full house with people dancing on barrels, that sort of thing !! Truly a fun place with a sound system that’s second to none. If you don’t come you’ll probably regret it for the rest of your life and I’ll even let you buy me a drink !!


Finally on Sunday february 3rd, we’re back at the Blé D’Or in Verviers !! No stage, so it’s up close and personal. If you can sing a little why not help us out ?

Et encore une fois, ils insistent sur l'importance des mises à jour régulières du blog. Écrire des mises à jour régulières n’est pas quelque chose dont j’ai été accusé dans le passé! Mais bon, pourquoi ne pas essayer. Qui sait ? Sans notions préconçues, mon écriture s’améliorera peut-être !! Ou à tout le moins cela nous donne une excuse pour partager quelques-unes des belles photographies de Martina, non?


Je commencerai par rappeler à tous que notre grand week-end s'annonce. Alexandre se produira avec son autre groupe, DiAlDa, vendredi soir à Liège sur La Legia. C’est une genre du bataille des bandes, chaque groupe jouant 20 minutes. Les billets sont à 8 € et sont disponibles à la porte. Votez ALEX !!


Samedi soir, nous retournons chez Mazy et ça va surement être fun !! Nous nous attendons à une salle comble avec des gens qui dansent sur des tonneaux, ce genre de chose !! Vraiment un endroit amusant avec une sonorisation incomparable. Si vous ne venez pas, vous le regretterez tout le reste de votre vie et je vous laisserais même m'acheter un verre !!


Enfin, nous sommes de retour au Blé D’Or à Verviers dimanche 3 février en fin d’apres-midi !! Pas de scene, c’est donc très proche et personnel. Si vous pouvez chanter un peu, pourquoi ne pas nous aider?

Well anyway, we have got some big BIG news ! The four of us have finally finished sorting through the hundreds of compositions ( not an exaggeration ) and begun booking studio time to record our long awaited ( and long promised ) second LP !!


On top of that we are EXTREMELY happy to announce that we’ll be working with Mr. Pierre Bartholomé, the best damn sound engineer / assistant producer in the whole damn kingdom at his brand new Green Field Studio !! You can believe us when we say the band has no intention to sully this fine man’s reputation with mediocre material.


To help finance this baby as we are still unsigned ( hint hint ) we will be launching a crowd funding campaign ( among other things ) within the next few weeks and we would really really appreciate any help or any ideas you may have.


So, until that time when we start hitting you up for cash, take care of yourselves and God bless.

Soit, nous avons de grandes nouvelles! Nous avons enfin fini de trier les centaines de compositions (pas une exagération) et avons commencé à passer du temps en studio pour enregistrer notre deuxième EP tant attendu (et promis depuis longtemps) !!


En plus de cela, nous sommes extrêmement heureux d'annoncer que nous allons travailler avec M. Pierre Bartholomé, le meilleur ingénieur du son / assistant producteur du royaume dans son tout nouveau Green Field Studio !! Vous pouvez nous croire quand nous disons que le groupe n'a pas l'intention de salir la réputation de ce bel homme avec du matériel médiocre.


Pour aider à financer ce bébé - car nous n’avons toujours pas signés dans une maison de disque - nous lancerons une campagne de « crowdfunding » (entre autres) dans les prochaines semaines et nous apprécierions vraiment toute aide ou toute idée que vous pourriez avoir.


Donc, jusqu'à ce moment où nous commencerons à vous demander de l'argent, prenez soin de vous et que Dieu vous bénisse.

If you’re a bit of a showman, can play some slide, sing a little and are creative it would be a plus but we are more interested in finding someone to be part of our team and grow along with us.

 

Repetitions once a week Monday or Tuesday night near Verviers. Car pooling from Liège possible.

A. We’ve been invited to play July 21st, Belgium’s Independence day !

Q. Really ! Where ?
A. Liège sur sable ! Quai de Wallonie in the skating rink’s parking lot just across the street from the convention center.

Q. Liège sur sable ?
A. Yeah, they’ve got 1000 tons of sable, BBQ’d sausages for sale (amongst other things), sunshine (in theory), people scantily dressed (we can only hope), and of course the GREASE MONKEYS baby !!

Q. Are there to be other bands ?
A. Yup ! We will be followed by the beautiful Stephanie Hansen, GAW and their hard rockin’ covers and finally Belgian Superstars Machiavel !

Q. Oh boy ! How much is all this gonna cost me ?
A. NOTHING ! NADA ! ZILCH ! all four concerts are absolutely free !!

Q. When do the Grease Monkeys go on ?
A. We kick things off at 5 pm
